If you could reduce your Arizona State Income Tax liability by up to $841.00 while helping Arizona’s veterans and particularly our disabled veterans, wouldn’t you at least give it some thought?

By donating to the Arizona Disabled Veteran Foundation, you could reduce your tax liability to the State of Arizona by $841.00 if married and filing a joint return, $421.00 filing single, head of household or married filing separately. A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the amount you owe the State of Arizona on your income tax liability, equal to the amount you give as a charitable tax contribution.

In the past you were required to itemize your tax return to be able to take advantage of the tax credit. Recent changes to the Arizona tax law have made it possible for those who do not itemize their return, to claim the tax credit also.

Any donation made prior to April 15th of the preceding year can be used for the current tax year and that donation will be presumed to have been received on December 31st of the current year. Your donation may further be deductible on your federal tax return, as a deduction saving you even more money. (Check with your tax specialist, your donation may need to be filed on or before December 31st for it to be claimed on your Federal return as a deduction.)

The Arizona Disabled Veteran Foundation Inc. was formed in October 2010 and has been accepted as a “Qualified Charitable Organization” for tax credit purposes by the Arizona Department of Revenue. See our “Notice of Certification” for 2010 and most recently for 2022. We went through a review process and were recertified after we made some changes in keeping with Arizona Department of Revenue regulations.

* Please note if you wish to make your donation online visit our website at ADVF.org. We use PayPal so you will not be charged a fee to use their service. However, you may choose to cover the fee, but that would be your choice. Neither do you need an account with PayPal. You will receive a receipt from PayPal within minutes of making your donation online.

Please feel free to call our office if you need our suggested guidance on how best to make your online donation. With minor increases in the amounts claimable, it may not be wise to cover the fees PayPal charges. We want you to get the best return. 602-448-6263

All donors from now until December 31st will receive their letter of donation acknowledgement from our organization after January 1st, as soon as possible. Donors from January 1st through April 15th will receive our letter as their donations come in.

  • We make the following commitments to our contributors:
  • We will not sell or give out your name and address to any other fund raisers.
  • We will not solicit you for any other fund-raising program during the year.

While we do collect e-mail addresses, we will only contact you if changes occur in the tax credit laws, or perhaps as a reminder that tax credit season is coming due.

Yours,

Patrick R. Young
